StageHand is set up to have a clean user experience building and maintaining your site. In the WordPress Admin (the backend), the menu is divided into three sections based on the frequency that you’ll be using the items.
The top section (from Pages to Media) is where the majority of content creation and updating will be done. There is where you create posts, add pages, and upload media.
The middle group (from Appearance to Instagram Feed) are pieces that require less frequent updates. Adjusting menus, footer content, the customizer, and forms will be done in this section.
The last section (from Plugins down) are tabs that you don’t need to touch. These are used for setting up the site and maintenance that the Ligature team will take care of monthly.
Dashboard
After logging in, you will be redirected to the WordPress Dashboard with information on various parts of your site.
The most important section in this view is the Site Health Status. This gives a quick analysis of your site’s general health. As part of monthly maintenance, we go in to clean things up and address items that pop up in the Site Health Status analysis.
Notifications
You may notice several notifications popping up while working on your site. These pop up next to various tabs including Updates, Plugins, Forms, etc. If you see these, no need to panic! Part of our monthly maintenance agreement is that Ligature will go in and take care of all these. (You can always view the latest maintenance and updates here.) If there are some notifications remaining after we have completed maintenance, it is because we have deemed them as ‘not a threat’ to your site.
If you notice something isn’t working or pulling in properly, please let us know. We are here to make sure you are satisfied with your site and it is working as it should at all times!
